Ms. Liwen Huang is co-founder of Capella Aviation LLC. She has more than 30 years of experience in aviation working for airlines, various start-ups and one of the world’s biggest aircraft lessors. Liwen’s experiences include marketing, trading, financing and leasing of aircraft. She has successfully closed many leasing, financing, sale & leaseback and trading transactions involving over 100 new and used aircraft worth more than US$4 billion.

Prior to CAPELLA, Liwen was Deputy Head of Global Sales at BOC Aviation Limited based in Singapore for 3 years, and before that, she was Vice President of Lease Sales at ILFC/AerCap for 4 years, where she was in charge of aircraft leasing in the Greater China market. Between 2003 and 2011, she was with PAFCO, Sky Holding and Jackson Square Aviation, respectively, where she had held several important roles in marketing and capital markets in the Asia Pacific region. Liwen started her aviation career when she was working at the treasury department of Xiamen Airlines in China, where she headed the team responsible for aircraft procurement, leasing and financing.

Liwen holds an MBA (Finance) from Questrom School of Business, Boston University, U.S.A., and Master’s of Economics (Banking and Finance) and B.A. from Xiamen University, China. She currently resides in San Francisco Bay Area with her family.

Ms. Katherine Wang is co-founder and Managing Director of Capella Aviation LLC. She has more than 16 years of experience in aviation working for lessors, servicers and administrative agents. She gained her aviation asset management experience from managing more than 130 aircraft leased and operated by over 40 airlines worldwide, with a total asset value more than US$2.5 billion.

Prior to CAPELLA, Katherine was Head of Commercial Contract at World Star Aviation, where her main responsibilities included managing lease contracts, ABS fund and compliance reports, trading support and leasing business operation. She took an important role in an ABS issuance of US$585 million involving more than 20 aircraft. Before that, she was Assistant Vice President of Finance & Accounting at Triton Aviation Services Ltd., where she was responsible for fund management for over 40 aircraft. Prior to Triton, she held various accounting positions at Phoenix American Financial Services, Inc., supervising SEC reporting and fund management for two ABS involving close to 70 aircraft with a total asset value of US $1.3 billion.

Katherine holds an MBA (Accounting & Finance) from California State University, U.S.A., and B.A. & B.S. from Tianjin University, China. She is a CPA licensed in the State of California. She currently resides in San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
